The Cogley’s finally got back, so I made reservations for Monday, March 23, at 5 PM. The owners are Luis and Irene Cogley and the restaurant is in their home. You eat surrounded by Luis’ colorful paintings and end the dinner with a short piano concert by Irene. The price is usually $20.00 per person (once $25) and includes bread with real butter, a fresh green salad (sometimes soup too) an entree with a side dish, and dessert (Flan or the best tiramisu ever) You bring what you want to drink so there is no bar bill.
To get there, turn right at the glorietta and go south toward the airport. When you leave town there is a Pemex on the right. Approximately 1 mile past the Pemex you will see an OXXO on the left. Take the road to the right across from the OXXO. There is a very short block on the right and the road curves to the left. The second road to the right has an empty lot for sale on the corner. Turn right there. Casa de Luna is first house on the right. It is a two-story beige house with a “Studio” sign on the side and front, an iron gate, and artwork everywhere.
I’m sorry this is such short notice, I wanted to go there before some of the snow birds headed north for the summer. Please let me know by Sunday afternoon if you will be able to attend.
